Black Zinc Low Energy Building House Design

This low energy building has farmhouse style with clad in black zinc sheeting. Strong acid colors of windows contrast with the black zinc make this modern passive house exterior more exciting. The use of black cladding is designed to echo the sheet metal clad agricultural barns nearby and to be visually recessive. The modern house plan divided into three distinct elements, main living area, studio/guest wing, and garage. Passive house features in this modern farmhouse such as geothermal heat pump, solar panels and a whole house heat recovery ventilation system. Designed by Simon Winstanley architects.
